• Oxidative Stress and Cell Death

In retinal and kidney models, the emphasis instead falls on suppressing oxidative injury and restoring cell survival. The shared biology is ROS control, while therapeutic direction differs by disease context.

• BAX-BCL2 Apoptosis Signaling

  BAX-BCL2 balance remains the central readout for activating mitochondrial apoptosis in these studies. Resveratrol, photodynamic therapy, thiazolyl hydrazones, Corydalis alkaloids and the Vernolac formula are evaluated largely through BAX, BCL2 and CASP3 changes. • Cancer Immunotherapy and Pyroptosis

  Cancer treatment is moving toward combining immune activation with programmed cell-death pathways to overcome resistance. XIAP-coordinated PKC signaling is being used to resensitize PD-1-refractory tumors to rechallenge. GSDME-dependent pyroptosis recurs as a way to amplify tumor killing, including after TLR4-JNK-CASP3 activation.
