  • Advanced Osteoporosis Treatment

Romosozumab is being incorporated into sequential denosumab regimens, cyclic ADFR strategies, and treatment plans for severe or unusual skeletal disease. Studies extend its use to classical osteogenesis imperfecta and to strengthening bone around pedicle screws. Medication exposure and MRONJ remain important safety considerations when treatment is layered or repeated. Evidence supports broader clinical application, but the best sequencing and long-term schedules remain unsettled.

  • Bone Density Response Predictors

Twelve-month romosozumab produces comparable lumbar-spine BMD gains across age groups, with underweight patients showing an apparently enhanced response across BMI categories. TRACP-5b, vitamin D, and calcium recur as measures or clinical context for interpreting response and risk. The work is moving toward identifying patient features that explain variability rather than redefining efficacy. Fracture-risk implications beyond BMD remain open.

  • Others — Cardiovascular Risk and Bone

Clinical work centers on myocardial infarction, stroke, and cardiovascular disease history when assessing romosozumab safety and prescribing. Claims data are being used to identify how prior cardiovascular disease influences treatment selection. A separate mouse study examines age-dependent changes in trabecular and cortical bone after short-term treatment, rather than cardiovascular outcomes. The cluster therefore links safety surveillance with bone biology but has no unified direction.
