Oral squamous cell carcinoma

Oral squamous cell carcinoma (OSCC) is a malignant epithelial tumor of the oral cavity characterized by squamous differentiation and the potential for local invasion, cervical lymph-node metastasis, and postoperative recurrence.

  • Oral Cancer Prognosis and Treatment

Recurrence, nodal spread and treatment selection remain central problems in oral cancer. Work combines PD-L1, c-MET, STAT3/ITGB8, CDK1-HOXC10-MTFR2 and cancer-associated fibroblasts as prognostic or therapeutic markers. Elastic scattering spectroscopy and multi-omics aim to improve nodal detection and risk stratification. Neoadjuvant chemoimmunotherapy and tailored adjuvant radiotherapy are being evaluated alongside approaches to prevent metastatic progression, but clinical validation remains limited.
